Watercolour Grevilleas

Darkroom Door - Wednesday, May 23, 2018
Hi there! It's Rachel Greig here with you today to share a fun watercolour card using the Grevilleas Stamp Set. I really enjoyed designing this set and finding just the right grevillea plants to photograph to turn them into stamps. I've included 4 different Grevilleas at different stages of their maturity, so you have lots of options of combining them together in your projects!

I thought it would be fun to create a watercolour card using the new Make Art Blendable Ink Pads by Wendy Vecchi.

1. Choose the largest grevillea stamp from the set and ink up with Poppy and Red Geranium Blendable Ink pads. Spritz the stamp with water and stamp onto white watercolour card stock. Allow to dry.
2. Stamp two of the other grevillea stamps either side, using only Sunflower and Poppy Blendable inks, spritz with water before stamping onto the cardstock. Allow to dry.
3. Stamp up the smaller leaf onto light cream card stock with Fern Green Archival Ink. Fussy cut around the leaves and adhere the end to the base of the grevillea flowers.

4. Stamp the sentiment from the Thank You Sentiment Stamps onto white watercolour cardstock and die cut with a small tag die. Put some green and orange ribbons through the end and tie in a bow. Adhere tag over the leaves with foam adhesive.
5. Adhere entire panel to a folded green card to finish!
